Our Story

25 years of doing this properly.

Onyx Prestige is a family-owned independent European car workshop located in Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. We specialise in European prestige, luxury and performance vehicles including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen and more. From routine logbook servicing to full engine builds, every vehicle receives the same standard of care.

Onyx Prestige was founded by Guy Orton, a technician who spent over two decades in the industry before realising the market was missing something: a workshop that treated prestige vehicles the way their owners expected.

Not a factory. Not a franchise. A specialist workshop built on reputation, referrals, and results.

Guy started in the trade at 15. Over 25 years he's worked on everything from daily drivers to track-prepared supercars. He's seen what happens when workshops cut corners, and built Onyx to be the opposite.

Today, Onyx Prestige is the Sunshine Coast's trusted independent specialist for European prestige and performance vehicles. Every car that comes through our doors gets the same level of attention, whether it's a routine logbook service or a full engine-out build.

Took my Mercedes C63 AMG in for a major service and some niggling issues. Guy talked me through everything on the car, showed me photos of what needed attention, and prioritised what actually mattered. No upselling, no fluff. Exactly the kind of workshop the Sunshine Coast needed.

Guy built the engine for my Audi RS3 track car. The attention to detail was next level — he even called me to discuss rod bolt torque specs. That's the kind of care you just don't get anywhere else. Car's been faultless on track since. Highly recommended for anyone serious about performance.

I was nervous about finding someone local who actually understands BMW M cars. Guy put that to rest immediately. Did a full inspection on my M2 Competition, talked me through the service history, and flagged a coolant pipe that was about to fail. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else now.
